Senior Energy & Sustainability Consultant / Green Building Specialist

Location: Mumbai / Navi Mumbai

About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned energy and sustainability professional to lead building energy analysis, green building consulting, and energy optimization initiatives. The role involves designing, simulating, and validating energy-efficient solutions for commercial and residential projects, while ensuring compliance with IGBC, LEED, WELL, and GRIHA standards. The candidate will manage multiple projects, mentor junior team members, and coordinate with design and project teams to implement sustainable building strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Energy Analysis & Simulation: Perform building energy modeling using tools like eQUEST and IES-VEConduct daylight analysis, HVAC heat load calculations, and retrofit energy simulationsEnsure compliance with ASHRAE 90.1, ECBC, IGBC, LEED, WELL, and GRIHA standards
  • Green Building Consulting & Documentation: Prepare credit documentation for green building certificationsReview MEP designs and tender documents for energy compliance and optimizationCoordinate with facilitation teams and stakeholders to gather project inputs
  • Measurement & Verification: Conduct performance measurement and verification of energy savings (IPMVP Option-A/B/C/D)Perform utility analysis, BMS trend analysis, rebate analysis, and solar PV/cogeneration evaluations
  • Project Management & Team Mentoring: Manage multiple energy simulation and green building consulting projectsMentor and train junior team members on energy simulation and certification processesCoordinate with cross-functional teams including design, project management, and client stakeholders
  • Reporting & Recommendations: Develop dashboards and reports for energy performance and optimizationProvide actionable recommendations for energy efficiency and sustainable building practices

    • Candidate Profile

  • Experience: 6–8 years in green building consulting, energy simulation, or sustainability projects
  • Technical Skills: eQUEST, IES-VE, HVAC load calculations, energy modeling, BMS analytics
  • Certifications: IGBC, LEED, WELL, GRIHA knowledge preferred
  • Behavioral Competencies: Strong analytical skills, project management, mentoring ability, stakeholder engagement, attention to detail

  • Accuracy and quality of energy simulations and building analysis
  • Successful submission and approval of green building certifications
  • Energy savings achieved through retrofit and optimization recommendations
