Role Overview

\n

We are looking for an energetic and presentable Business Development Manager for

\n

our Solar business, specifically for Solar PPA / Power Purchase Agreement

\n

opportunities with Government and Private-sector clients.

\n

\n

Key Responsibilities

\n

\n
• Identify and develop new business opportunities for Solar PPA projects.
\n
• Generate leads and build relationships with Government and Private clients.
\n
• Work on PPA opportunities, proposals and business development activities.
\n
• Prepare and present business proposals, presentations and commercial offers.
\n
• Conduct client meetings, presentations and negotiations.
\n
• Coordinate with internal technical, commercial and project teams.
\n
• Understand client requirements and coordinate for suitable solar solutions.
\n
• Develop and maintain a strong client/business network.
\n
• Follow up with prospective clients from lead generation to closure.
\n
• Regular travelling for client meetings, site visits and business development
\n
• activities.
\n

Candidate Profile

\n

\n
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in Business Development / Sales.
\n
• Experience in Solar / Renewable Energy will be highly preferred.
\n
• Experience in EPC companies, Power Generation companies or
\n
• Infrastructure companies is an added advantage.
\n
• Candidates from other reputed Private-sector companies with excellent BDM
\n
• experience may also be considered.
\n
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
\n
• Should be confident and presentable for client-facing meetings.
\n
• Good proposal-making and presentation skills.
\n
• Should be willing to travel extensively.
\n
• Fast learner with strong business acumen and negotiation skills.
\n
• Ability to independently handle client meetings and business development
\n
• activities.
\n

Preferred Experience: Solar / Solar EPC / Power Generation / Infrastructure

\n

\n

Key Responsibilities of Solar PPA BDM

\n

Lead Generation & Client Acquisition: Build relationships with corporates,

\n

industrial clients, and government bodies.

\n

Contract Negotiation: Draft and finalize PPA agreements with favorable terms.

\n

Market Research: Identify emerging opportunities in rooftop solar, utility-scale

\n

projects, and hybrid models (solar + BESS).

\n

Cross-functional Coordination: Work with technical, operations, and finance

\n

teams to ensure smooth project execution.

\n

Regulatory Awareness: Stay updated on renewable energy policies, DISCOM

\n

regulations, and tariff structures.

\n

\n

Sales & Business Development

\n

Core responsibility: Lead generation, client acquisition, and closing PPA deals.

\n

Works closely with EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) and technical

\n

teams to align customer needs with project execution.

\n

Focused on revenue growth and market expansion.
