About the Job

Valency Energy is seeking a motivated Business Development Associate to help build India's first circular renewable energy platform. You'll be instrumental in on-boarding equipment manufacturers, OEMs, and raw material suppliers to our distribution network while expanding our reach across Tier-2/3 cities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and onboard solar equipment manufacturers (panels, inverters, batteries) and raw material suppliers to Valency's platform

• Build and maintain relationships with OEM partners across India

• Generate leads and close partnership deals with commercial/industrial customers in Tier-2/3 cities

• Coordinate with EPC partners to ensure quality deployment and customer satisfaction

• Conduct market research to identify new opportunities in underserved renewable energy markets

• Prepare partnership proposals, presentations, and commercial term sheets

• Track sales pipeline, partnerships, and revenue metrics

• Support in organizing stakeholder meetings, site visits, and partnership events

• Collaborate with platform operations team to ensure smooth on-boarding and transaction flow

What We're Looking For:

• 1-3 years of experience in B2B sales, business development, or partnerships (renewable energy/clean-tech preferred)

• Strong communication and negotiation skills

• Self-starter with entrepreneurial mindset - comfortable working in early-stage startup environment

• Willingness to travel to Tier-2/3 cities for partner/customer meetings

• Passion for climate action and renewable energy transition

• Understanding of solar industry value chain (manufacturers, EPCs, customers)

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple partnerships simultaneously
