The role
Waste rules in India are changing fast, and most of the people bound by them are still working out what they mean. You will help us read the rules properly,
so we know what governments and companies are actually required to do and how Baeru helps them do it.
What you will do
Who you are
Law, public policy, environmental studies or anything else. Show us how you think.
How to apply
Send your resume and one writing sample. Then pick any one rule on plastic or solid waste and tell us, in under 150 words, who it actually affects
and what they have to do differently because of it.
About Baeru
Most of us throw something away and never think about it again. Someone else does: the people who collect it, sort it and decide where it goes next.
Almost none of that work, and almost none of where waste ends up, is ever recorded. Baeru changes that. We work on the ground with the people who handle waste,
and we build the technology that turns their work into verified data that governments, brands and recyclers can act on. Garbage is where we work. Proof is what we build.
Our work and climate
Plastic that escapes collection ends up in rivers and the sea, and the coastal communities who clear it carry the cost. Baeru recovers ocean-bound plastic and builds the data that shows where waste actually goes, from coastlines to cities, so governments and brands can act on verified numbers instead of estimates. To date we have diverted over 50,000 tonnes of ocean-bound waste and avoided 12,000 tonnes of CO2e.
