The Role
We need someone who can make people care about garbage. You will work with our comms lead and designer to turn field work, data and real people's stories
into content that makes someone stop scrolling.
What you will do
• Write and shape posts, reels and short videos for Instagram and LinkedIn.
• Turn numbers and field updates into stories a non-expert gets in five seconds.
• Build and keep a bank of photos, footage, quotes and press so nothing good gets lost.
• Track what works and what doesn't, and tell us honestly.
Who you are
• You write well, and you know how to cut. A sharp caption matters more to you than a long one.
• You notice why some content works and most doesn't, and you can explain it.
• You are comfortable with Canva, CapCut or similar, and with a phone camera.
• You take feedback well and turn drafts around fast.
• Bonus: you write in Kannada.
Any degree. Show us the work.
How to Apply
Send your resume and two or three samples of your work (posts, videos, writing or design). Then pick one post from Baeru's Instagram or LinkedIn
and tell us, in under 100 words, how you would make it better.
About Baeru
Most of us throw something away and never think about it again. Someone else does: the people who collect it, sort it and decide where it goes next.
Almost none of that work, and almost none of where waste ends up, is ever recorded.Baeru changes that. We work on the ground with the people who handle waste,
and we build the technology that turns their work into verified data that governments, brands and recyclers can act on. Garbage is where we work. Proof is what we build.
Our work and climate
Plastic that escapes collection ends up in rivers and the sea, and the coastal communities who clear it carry the cost. Baeru recovers ocean-bound plastic and builds the data that shows where waste actually goes, from coastlines to cities, so governments and brands can act on verified numbers instead of estimates. To date we have diverted over 50,000 tonnes of ocean-bound waste and avoided 12,000 tonnes of CO2e.
