Engineer – Maintenance

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the reliable operation of plant machinery, equipment and utility systems. The role involves preventive and breakdown maintenance, troubleshooting, equipment inspection and coordination with plant teams to minimize downtime.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance of plant equipment.

• Identify and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment issues.

• Monitor equipment performance and identify potential failures.

• Coordinate maintenance activities with production and operations teams.

• Support installation, commissioning and maintenance of new equipment.

• Maintain maintenance records, checklists and equipment history.

• Coordinate with external vendors and service providers when required.

• Follow plant safety procedures during maintenance activities.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.

• Practical understanding of industrial equipment and maintenance activities.

• Ability to work in a plant environment and respond to breakdowns.

• Good coordination with production and engineering teams.

• Focus on equipment reliability and preventive maintenance.

MUST-HAVE SKILLS

• 2–5 years of relevant maintenance experience.

• Experience in Chemical, Paint, Battery or related process industries.

• Knowledge of preventive and breakdown maintenance.

• Understanding of industrial machinery and plant equipment.

• Ability to identify and troubleshoot equipment failures.

• Knowledge of maintenance safety practices.

GOOD TO HAVE

• Exposure to plant utilities and equipment commissioning.

• Experience in maintenance planning and scheduling.

• Knowledge of maintenance documentation and equipment records.

• Experience coordinating with maintenance vendors.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field.

• 2–5 years of relevant industry experience.
