About the Job

Why this role exists

The Founder’s Office needs a sharp intern who can research, organise, follow up, draft, track and learn fast while moving across the real commercial and operating work of a deep-tech startup. The role offers exposure to customers, partners, investors, proposals, sales calls, field visits, CRM, founder meetings and cross-functional execution. It is designed for someone who wants to understand how a company is actually built, not only observe founders from the side.

Load-bearing contribution

You support execution memory and learning velocity. Even intern-level work can decide whether a lead is followed up, a founder has the right context before a meeting, a useful idea becomes an experiment, or a repeated task becomes a playbook instead of being reinvented every week.

What you will own

• Research companies, decision makers, competitors, projects, industry segments, customers and partnership opportunities.

• Prepare first-draft meeting briefs, outreach notes, account summaries, follow-up trackers and simple decision notes.

• Support CRM updates and sales pipeline hygiene under the direction of founders, CGO, CSO or relevant functional owners.

• Help coordinate meetings, site visits, demo visits, founder calls, investor interactions and partner follow-ups.

• Prepare presentation slides, one-page notes, proposal drafts, market maps and internal summaries.

• Track action items from founder meetings and follow up with owners until closure.

• Assist Sales, Partnerships, Marketing and Growth with lead qualification, account research, customer learning and execution support.

• Look for patterns in recurring work and help convert them into simple templates, checklists or playbooks.

• Explore non-obvious approaches when the first route does not work, while keeping the relevant owner informed.

• Maintain clean Drive folders and working documents so another person can continue the work without asking you.

What we need

• Strong curiosity and willingness to learn directly from founder-led work.

• Good written English and clear business communication.

• Comfort with Google Sheets, Docs, Slides, LinkedIn research, AI tools and basic CRM systems.

• Ability to organise information cleanly, identify gaps and distinguish fact from assumption.

• Responsiveness and reliability. Founder’s Office work loses value if it is late or incomplete.

• High adaptability and comfort switching between research, meetings, sales support, presentations, field visits and operating tasks.

• A willingness to think independently, suggest a better route and still respect ownership boundaries.

• A serious attitude toward confidentiality, customer information, founder context and internal plans.

Good to have

• Prior internship, college leadership role, event management, sales project, research project or startup exposure.

• Interest in construction, climate tech, sustainability, civil engineering, real estate, infrastructure, strategy or operations.

• Basic Canva, PowerPoint, Notion, Zoho CRM, AI tools or spreadsheet skills.

• Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi or Tamil communication ability for regional outreach.

• Evidence that you have built or improved a process, club system, event workflow or project rather than only participated in it.

What success looks like in the first 90 days

• Research sheets are useful, clean and current.

• CRM and follow-up trackers are updated without repeated chasing.

• You can prepare a first-draft account brief or meeting note independently.

• At least one lead, meeting or partnership conversation is meaningfully supported from research through follow-up.

• At least one recurring Founder’s Office task is converted into a simple reusable playbook, checklist or template.

• You have contributed at least one useful idea or non-obvious route that the team chose to test.

• Founders and managers trust you with recurring work because quality and judgment improve week by week.

Non-negotiables in this role

• No fake research, copied summaries or unverified data presented as fact.

• No casual sharing of internal documents, customer details, pricing, investor material or founder notes.

• No missed follow-up without early escalation.

• No messy handover that only you can understand.

• No waiting passively for detailed instructions when a sensible first pass can be done independently.

• No useful recurring process left dependent on memory when it can be documented simply.

Culture signals we will look for

• You ask clear questions after doing your own first pass.

• You can move across functions without treating every boundary as 'not my job.'

• You naturally ask, 'What else could work?' when the first route is blocked.

• You write things down and make them easy for others to use.

• You treat small tasks as training for larger ownership.

• You learn fast from feedback instead of defending the first draft.

• You are interested in the company C-DISC could become, not only the tasks assigned this week.

Growth path

Founder’s Office Intern to Founder’s Office Associate, Business Development Associate, Sales Executive, Strategic Partnerships Associate, Growth Operations, Marketing or RevOps track depending on strengths, performance and company openings.

Location :Bangalore, Karnataka, India, India
