IT Applications Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE

This role works closely with teams across the business. You will understand how people work, improve the tools they use and build practical automation where it saves time or reduces errors. You will also help keep day-to-day IT systems reliable and support users when issues arise.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Meet users across operations, sales, finance and compliance to understand their requirements.
• Build and improve internal applications, dashboards and approval workflows.
• Connect ERPNext/Frappe, CRM, Google Workspace and other business systems through APIs.
• Use AI, OCR and automation to simplify document processing, data checks and routine reporting.
• Test changes, deploy them safely and resolve issues after release.
• Support user access, devices, basic networking and IT vendors when required.
• Keep system documentation, repositories and backup procedures up to date.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• You take ownership and follow an issue through to resolution.
• You ask clear questions before deciding what to build or change.
• You are comfortable moving between development, configuration and troubleshooting.
• You can explain technical matters clearly to colleagues from other functions.

MUST-HAVE SKILLS

• 0–3 years of hands-on work with business applications, automation or system integration. Relevant projects and internships count.
• Python or another scripting language used for real automation tasks.
• Working knowledge of APIs, webhooks, JSON and relational databases.
• Practical exposure to LLM APIs, OCR or workflow-automation tools.
• Basic Git and Linux skills.

GOOD TO HAVE

• ERPNext/Frappe, CRM or similar business platforms.
• Docker, cloud/VPS deployment and application monitoring.
• Experience with document-processing or data-validation workflows.
• Awareness of access control, backups and basic information security.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Applications, Electronics or a related field.
• Candidates with equivalent practical experience and strong project work are also welcome.
