About the Job

Why this role exists

C-DISC Technologies is moving from founder-led marketing to a structured demand and brand function, but we do not want that structure to become a box. PEN Foundation is a category-creating

construction technology, so the Marketing Head must be equal parts marketer, operator, experimenter and company builder. The role is to create demand, sharpen the category, build repeatable playbooks and step across Sales, Partnerships, Design, customer research or launch execution whenever that is what moves the company forward.

Load-bearing contribution

You build the market-facing operating system. Trust and claim discipline matter, but so do imagination, speed of learning and the willingness to solve a problem that does not sit neatly inside

Marketing. Your contribution is to turn field proof, customer insight and founder ambition into repeatable ways of creating demand and market understanding.

What you will own

• Own the marketing calendar and demand plan across developers, prefab and modular companies, architects, contractors, eco-resort and farmstay operators, institutional buyers and strategic partners.

• Develop segment-specific positioning, messaging, campaigns and sales-enablement material for PEN Foundation.

• Create and continuously improve repeatable playbooks for campaigns, launches, case studies, reference sites, customer interviews, events, partner co-marketing and new-market experiments.

• Look for non-obvious growth loops beyond conventional marketing: specifier programs, architect communities, strategic partnerships, reference-site networks, founder-led content, ecosystem collaborations and other category-building routes.

• Turn installations, customer outcomes, technical validation and sustainability evidence into case studies, landing pages, brochures, decks, videos and digital campaigns.

• Own C-DISC's brand voice across the website, LinkedIn, brochures, presentations, events, partner-facing material and other public communication.

• Work seamlessly with Sales and Partnerships on target accounts, lead qualification, CRM handoff, follow-up visibility and campaign-to-pipeline conversion. If a commercial bottleneck sits between functions, help solve it rather than hand it off.

• Build a repeatable content and market-learning engine covering project stories, technical explainers, thought leadership, customer conversations, email, social media and industry intelligence.

• Lead and coordinate marketing associates, interns, designers, freelancers, agencies and specialist partners as the function grows.

• Track qualified enquiries, source quality, campaign performance and contribution to pipeline, then change the playbook quickly when evidence says the current one is wrong.

• Own the marketing budget with frugality and document what each major experiment taught the company.

What we need

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in B2B marketing, growth marketing, brand, content or demand generation, preferably in a startup or fast-moving organisation.

• Strong first-principles thinking. You should be able to question how the category is marketed today and invent a better route rather than copy the standard playbook.

• High adaptability. You can move from a campaign review to a customer interview, sales meeting, event, partner discussion or founder problem without becoming territorial about role boundaries.

• Ability to turn successful experiments into documented playbooks that another person can run without you.

• Strong writing and positioning ability, with enough commercial judgment to connect communication to pipeline and customer behaviour.

• Comfort with CRM-linked lead generation, landing pages, email, LinkedIn, content systems, website analytics and basic performance reporting.

• A builder mindset: you create operating rhythms, templates, scorecards and systems instead of depending on founder-by-founder instructions.

• A long-term orientation. You can make short-term decisions that still strengthen the brand, category and company C-DISC is trying to become over the next several years.

Good to have

• Experience in construction, building materials, architecture, real estate, infrastructure, industrial products, sustainability, climate tech or deep tech.

• MBA / PGDM from a Tier-1 institution.

• Meaningful marketing, growth or brand experience at a top-tier company with strong operating standards.

• Founder, co-founder or early-team experience in a startup that achieved measurable scale.

• Experience creating or educating a market around a new category rather than marketing an already familiar product.

• Working knowledge of Zoho CRM / Campaigns, Google Analytics, WordPress or Webflow, marketing automation and dashboarding tools.

What success looks like in the first 90 days

• A working 90-day marketing and demand calendar is live with defined target segments, messages, owners and review cadence.

• At least two reusable marketing or GTM playbooks are documented from real execution, not theory.

• Priority customer segments have documented positioning, proof points and sales-enablement narratives used consistently by Marketing and Sales.

• Marketing-sourced enquiries and campaign performance are visible in CRM and reviewed weekly with Sales.

• At least one non-obvious market experiment is launched with a clear hypothesis, owner, measurement method and learning review.

• A case-study and reference-site engine is active, with priority project proof converted into reusable external assets.

• The Marketing Head is already solving selected cross-functional growth problems without waiting for them to be formally assigned to Marketing.

Non-negotiables in this role

• No unverified technical, sustainability, performance, deployment, cost or market claim in external communication.

• No hiding behind a job description when a high-value growth problem clearly needs ownership.

• No activity for activity's sake. Campaigns, events, content and tools must connect to a learning objective, market outcome or commercial purpose.

• No successful experiment left undocumented. If something works, turn it into a playbook.

• No attachment to a strategy after field, customer or sales evidence shows it is wrong.

• No short-term marketing win that weakens the category or company C-DISC is trying to build long term.

Culture signals we will look for

• You naturally ask, "What else could work?" when the obvious route is crowded or ineffective.

• You are comfortable operating outside a narrow function when the company needs it, without creating ownership confusion.

• You turn ambiguity into a test, a decision, a playbook or a system.

• You can make a story powerful without making it loose.

• You learn from customers, sites, Sales, Design and Engineering rather than treating Marketing as a separate island.

• You think in years as well as weeks: each campaign should teach us something useful about the category C-DISC is building.

Growth path

Marketing Head to Chief Marketing Officer track. The transition is not title-based or time-based. It opens when the person demonstrates that they can go beyond running Marketing and help shape how the company grows: creating repeatable market playbooks, building strong people, influencing Sales and product direction, allocating capital intelligently, adapting quickly as evidence changes and holding a long-term category vision that remains aligned with C-DISC.
