Why this role exists
C-DISC needs a fast-learning marketing intern who can turn technical proof, field activity, founder context and customer conversations into useful communication and market learning. This is not a
passive content internship. You will work on live external material, test new formats and channels, support Sales and Design when needed, and learn how a new construction category is built from the ground up.
Load-bearing contribution
You help make technical truth interesting enough to travel. A caption, research sheet, short video, case-study note or customer insight can either sharpen the category or make it noisier. Your job is to create clear, useful communication while learning how content, demand, customer behaviour and field evidence connect.
What you will own
• Assist in creating LinkedIn posts, short-form content, blog drafts, email drafts, case studies, campaign material, founder-led content and sales-enablement assets.
• Support documentation of live installations, site visits, customer stories, events and partnerships through notes, photos, video capture and structured follow-up.
• Research developers, prefab companies, architects, competitors, eco-resort builders, industry trends, content formats and emerging market opportunities.
• Help maintain the content calendar while being ready to move quickly when a live project, event, partnership or customer insight creates a better opportunity.
• Coordinate with designers, video editors, Sales and Founder’s Office on campaign and content requirements.
• Use AI tools responsibly for research, ideation, drafting, image or video experimentation while maintaining human review and source discipline.
• Test non-obvious content and distribution ideas rather than copying standard construction-industry social media.
• Turn recurring content tasks and successful formats into simple templates or playbooks
• Keep content fact-checked against approved company information before publishing.
What we need
• Strong English writing ability. Malayalam, Hindi or Kannada is an added advantage for field and customer content.
• Curiosity about construction, sustainability, startups, technology, customers and why certain stories travel while others do not.
• Ability to research properly and convert scattered notes into clean first drafts.
• Comfort using Canva, Google Docs, Sheets, LinkedIn and basic AI tools responsibly.
• High adaptability. You should be comfortable moving between writing, research, field documentation, campaign support and customer insight work.
• A willingness to think beyond the obvious, test ideas, accept direct feedback and improve rapidly.
• Enough discipline to document what worked so the next campaign starts higher.
Good to have
• Prior internship in content, marketing, journalism, social media, design, growth/startup operations.
• Basic video editing, photography, Canva, Figma, WordPress or AI-assisted creative workflow exposure.
• Experience managing a college club page, newsletter, event campaign, creator project or public content channel.
• Interest in architecture, construction, climate tech, real estate or industrial products.
What success looks like in the first 90 days
• You can independently create a clean first draft from founder notes, site photos, customer conversations or a technical brief.
• A consistent flow of usable content is supported or published without sacrificing accuracy.
• Research sheets and content trackers remain clean, current and useful to others.
• At least one recurring content workflow or format is turned into a reusable playbook or template.
• At least one unconventional content or distribution experiment is tested and reviewed for learning.
• You can distinguish between a clever claim, a strong claim and a verified claim.
Non-negotiables in this role
• No copied content without attribution, transformation or proper source handling.
• No invented numbers, awards, project counts, sustainability claims or technical claims.
• No external posting or sharing without the agreed review process.
• No messy research or file structure that another person cannot understand.
• No attachment to a content idea after evidence shows it is not useful.
• No good experiment left undocumented if it can become a repeatable format.
Culture signals we will look for
• You ask before assuming, but you also do your own first pass before asking.
• You naturally look for a more interesting angle without weakening the truth.
• You are comfortable stepping into Sales, Design, site documentation or customer research when the best content requires it.
• You learn fast and document what you learn so the next person starts higher.
• You care about clarity and usefulness, not only clever wording or aesthetics.
• You can connect today's content work to the larger category C-DISC is trying to build.
