About the role:
We are looking for dynamic, core sales professionals who are passionate about building customer relationships, driving new business, and delivering value-driven solutions. Prior experience in Building Management Systems (BMS) and IoT is essential, along with the ability to understand technical products, position automation-based energy efficiency solutions effectively, and drive sales of our BMS platform, DeJoule.
Key Responsibilities of the role will include:
Sales Strategy & Execution:
• Achieve regional sales targets for automation solutions focused on energy efficiency.
• Develop territory-specific sales plans and manage end-to-end sales cycles. New Business Development:
• Actively prospect and convert new clients through direct selling, referrals, industry events, and partnerships.
• Build and maintain relationships with key influencers such as consultants, facility heads, sustainability managers, and CXOs.
Customer Engagement & Solution Selling:
• Understand client needs, pain points, and operational challenges.
• Collaborate with Pre-Sales and Design teams to offer customized solutions that meet both technical and commercial objectives.
• Develop consultative sales approaches to position Smart Joules as a long-term partner.
Pipeline & Deal Management:
• Maintain a healthy and consistent sales pipeline using CRM tools.
• Track, manage, and report progress regularly to the Head of Automation Sales.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
• Work closely with the Design, Projects, Product (DeJoule), and Service teams for smooth project handovers and customer success.
• Provide market intelligence to internal teams for continuous product and process improvement.
The Ideal candidate will have Specific requirements include:
● 3–6 years of proven B2B sales experience, including strong exposure to Building Management Systems (BMS) and IoT, along with experience in capital equipment, industrial sales, facility solutions, energy services, HVAC, or related industries.
● Strong track record of achieving and scaling revenue targets, ideally contributing to business growth from <₹50 Cr. to >₹150 Cr.
● Demonstrated track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in long-cycle, multistakeholder environments.
● Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence decision-makers such as CXOs, consultants, and facility leaders.
● Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
● Techno-commercial acumen to understand and sell automation-driven, energy efficiency solutions.
● Awareness of sustainability and energy efficiency as a business value proposition.
